Rules and Regulations

The following rules and regulations are designed for the protection and benefit of all members. They have been established to assure the safe and sanitary operation of your pool facilities. The Pool Director and his staff are responsible for the operation of the pool and the enforcement of these rules and are in turn, responsible to the Board of Directors. Parents are urged to instruct their children to observe all rules and the instruction of the Pool Director and his staff.

Pool Hours

The regular pool hours are from 10:30 am until 7:00 pm daily, except during July and up to August 15th when it will remain open until 8:00 pm. During inclement weather, the pool may be closed from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm. The pool will be opened at 2:00 pm weather permitting. The Director reserves the right to close the pool during bad weather (severe lightning, storms, etc.). Hours for the pool are 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday – Friday until the close of Framingham Public Schools, then regular pool hours apply.

  • The pool may be closed for, maintenance operations, health conditions, lightning, storms or any reason deemed sufficient by the Pool Director.
  • The pool may be closed for general swimming during swimming assessments.
  • All members and guests must leave property before guards lock up for the evening. No Exceptions.

Members Obligations

  1. All members must be signed in before using the pool.
  2. The cost of any property damage may be charged to the responsible active member.
  3. Each member family is asked to participate in the spring and fall workdays for a minimum of four hours for each workday on behalf of the club each year. A member may choose not to participate and will be assessed $50.00 for each workday. Your workday effort must be completed during the current season and may be completed outside of the designated “workdays”. No carry-over exceptions will be made.

Rules of Conduct

  1. There will be No Smoking on Pool Club Property.
  2. No food may be consumed inside the pool enclosure.
  3. Only sugar-free beverages in non-breakable containers may be consumed inside the pool enclosure. Please do not leave any containers at the pool. Bring home what you bring to the pool. This will help keep the ant and bee population down.
  4. No intoxicants in any form are allowed on the Association property.
  5. No trash is to be left at the pool. If you carry something in, plan on bring it home with you, if we all do our part we can all enjoy a clean environment.
  6. No diapers are to be left at the pool.


  1. All guests must be signed in.
  2. Each family is allowed 10 guest privileges per week.
  3. A guest privilege consists of admission to the pool of a single individual.
  4. A guest privilege shall not be issued to the same individual, regardless of sponsor, more frequently than 6 times per year.
  5. All guests must be accompanied and registered by a member.
  6. Conduct of guests is the direct responsibility of the sponsoring member.
  7. Guest rate: Children and Adults -- $5.00 each. Rates for weekends and holidays are the same as weekdays.
  8. Grandparents are allowed to bring a grandchild without charge and children are allowed to bring their grandparents without charge. However, rule #3 above still applies.
  9. Children aged 12 to 14 are allowed to be at the pool without an adult; however, they are only allowed to have no more than 2 guests.
  10. Children aged 15 or older are allowed to be at the pool without an adult and are allowed to have no more than 3 guests.
  11. If you are planning to bring more than five guests (see General Rules, #3 and #7, for rules pertaining to birthday or sports parties), clear this with the Pool Director no less than 48 hours in advance.

Health and Safety

  1. No person shall be allowed to use the pool at any time unless the Pool Director or a member of the staff is on duty.
  2. All bathers must take a soap shower and rinse thoroughly before entering the pool.
  3. Admission to the pool may be refused anyone with skin disease, colds, cough, infection, inflamed eyes, or who is wearing a bandage.
  4. No pets will be allowed in the pool enclosure at any time, ever.
  5. There will be no running, pushing or wrestling, or any other disturbance in or about the pool.
  6. Artificial flotation devices, masks, toys, aqualungs or other paraphernalia are allowed in the pool only at the discretion of the Pool Director or lifeguards.
  7. Children under 15 years of age may not use the pool unless:
    • a. They have been certified as to their ability to swim by the Pool Director;
    • b. They are taking a swimming assessment; or
    • c. They are accompanied by a responsible adult.
  8. A responsible guardian must accompany all children under 12 years old.
  9. Their parents must accompany all children under 15 years of age after 5:30 pm.
  10. Organized games may be permitted in the pool only with the Pool Director’s permission.
  11. Babysitters must have the explicit written permission of a parent for whom they are sitting to swim themselves while responsible for the children in their care.
  12. Infants and toddlers who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers when using the main pool and the wading pool.
  13. Parental involvement in swimming assessment interferes with effective instruction, so the swimming instructor and Pool Director request that parents remain away from the pool area platform during lessons.


  1. The Association is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property. Mark all lounge chairs with your name in indelible ink. Lounge chairs left at the pool are the responsibility of the owners and should be left in the appropriate area when not in use. Please do not leave chairs leaning against the fence near the kiddie’s pool facing the parking lot. They will be removed. There are also a few other areas where chairs should not be leaned against the fence. These areas have been “squared off”; please pay attention to these areas, as the chairs interfere with the sprinkler system. Lounge chairs not removed by the designated fall workday will be disposed of and the owner assessed a $10.00 chair removal fee, as we pay to have these chairs disposed of.
  2. The Pool Director may temporarily suspend the swimming privileges of children who do not comply with the foregoing rules and regulations.
  3. Birthday and other parties should be planned a week in advance with the Pool Director during non-peak hours. The fee for guests is $5.00 per swimmer.
  4. Please check the bulletin board for other pertinent announcements.
  5. Late Fees: If you have not paid your dues for the upcoming season, as well as any fees owed from the previous season by the opening day of the current pool season, you will be charged a late fee. The late fee is on a tier system; it goes up $25 each month you are late. If you do not pay by opening day, you will owe, in addition to your fees, a $25.00 late charge if payment is made by June 30th. If you do not pay by June 30th, you will owe an additional $25.00 on July 1st. On the 1st day of each month you owe money, your late fee increases by $25.00. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
  6. IF YOU DECIDE NOT TO JOIN THE POOL FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON YOU MUST NOTIFY THE ASSOCIATION IN WRITING BEFORE APRIL 15TH OR YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SEASONAL DUES. NO EXCEPTIONS. ALL CORRESPONDENCE SHOULD BE SENT TO FSPA, P.O. BOX 2184, FRAMINGHAM CENTRE, MA 01703. Also, it is advisable to include your bond with your resignation letter. Bond money is returned, less any fees owed, when a new member joins the club and replaces your slot as a member. Bond money is returned in order of resignation. No exceptions (All By-Law provisions apply).
  7. Birthday parties/group gatherings should be arranged through the manager/assistant manager. These larger groups are discouraged during the weekends. The charge is $5.00 per swimmer. These swimmers do not count against the limit. Party limit is 12 swimmers.
  8. Non-members who are not signed in will not be allowed to enter for the remainder of the summer. Any member judged to be an accomplice in such a situation will be suspended for a period of time determined by the Pool Director and the Board of FSPA.
